How did you get into radio?

I've always wanted to get into radio since studying sound engineering in the SABC. I was given the opportunity to join the Midday Exchange as Paul's producer, and then somehow got roped into speaking on the mic, and the rest is history!

What do you love about working with 919?

The team. Here at 919 we feel like a family. It's such an upbeat, positive work environment and I absolutely love that.

If we say Joburg, what comes to mind?

Home. I'm a born and bred Joburger and have never found another place in the world with our unique, vibrant, welcoming culture.

Where are you based, and what’s the route you travel to get to the station?

I am based in Morningside, and travel through the heart of Sandton, past St Davids school to get to the station daily.

What do you get up to when you’re not doing your show / working at 919?

I am a DJ in my spare time, so I often am spinning the decks at various establishments throughout Gauteng. If I'm not performing, you can find me making my own music, or messing around on my instruments. Basically, when I'm not on The Midday Exchange, I'm making a harmonious noise somewhere else.

Who are your favourite artists and genres?

Gosh, this is tough. My favourite artists have to be Queen, Goldfish, Avicii and Daft Punk. My favourite genres differ wildly as my music taste is quite eclectic. However, I love EDM, classic rock and amapiano in my spare time.
