Young volunteers from the Sharing Kindness Foundation have provided meals to 200 children as part of a community outreach programme in Johannesburg.
The initiative took place at the Wits University Volunteers Centre on September 1.

King David High School’s educational technology and digital transformation director, Nadine Smith, has been recognised with two national awards at the Edu Women in Leadership Conference.
Smith received the Education-Industry Collaboration Award for building partnerships that create real-world opportunities for learners and staff.
She also won the AI & Digital Transformation Champion Award for her strategic use of technology to strengthen teaching and learning.
She also shared her expertise at the conference, leading sessions on AI-Ready School 2030 and Integrating Robotics and Technology to Build Resilient Schools.

As the world marked International Literacy Day yesterday, the department is putting reading at the centre of efforts to help more children enjoy books and improve their skills.
