The University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Veterinary Science hosted a Farmers’ Day at its Onderstepoort campus to help small scale farmers improve livestock care.
The Production Animal Mobile Clinic team demonstrated animal treatment techniques and shared advice on vaccination, quarantine, disinfection and biosecurity.
Farmers also received guidance on recognising health risks and working with state veterinarians to protect their animals.

The project is already operational and will supply more than 25 percent of the park’s annual electricity needs, helping reduce its reliance on conventional power sources.
