Gautrain launches 50% discounted fares

The Gautrain Management Agency has launched its new KlevaMova product, offering qualifying low-income earners, pensioners and learners under 25 a 50% discount on train fares.
The announcement comes as the Gautrain celebrates 16 years of operation since its first trip between Sandton and OR Tambo International Airport on 8 June 2010.
Over the past 16 years, the rail system has transported more than 200 million passengers and currently employs about 1,200 staff members.
Looking ahead, the Gautrain Management Agency plans to expand the rail network to reach more areas across Gauteng, including Soweto, Fourways, Lanseria and Mamelodi.

Hikers raise R1 million charity challenge

Hikers, runners and supporters have raised one million rand through this year's Cableway Charity Challenge on Table Mountain in Cape Town.
The annual event saw participants hike up the mountain multiple times while collecting donations and pledges.
Four organisations will each receive 250-thousand rand to support conservation, youth development, wildfire response and rescue operations.
Organisers say the challenge continues to unite communities in support of causes across the Western Cape.

Boot camp boosts graduate job prospects

A workplace readiness programme will train unemployed graduates in Johannesburg from 19 to 26 June 2026 to improve their chances of finding jobs.
The ACCESS70 Workplace Launchpad Boot Camp will provide training in communication, teamwork, problem-solving, workplace etiquette and interview preparation for selected graduates aged 18 to 35.
Participants will take part in workplace simulations, mentorship sessions and direct engagement with employers in sectors including IT, finance, marketing, logistics and engineering.
The programme will also connect graduates to employers for job placement support after the training period.
