A campaign linked to the Commonwealth Games is using the King’s Baton Relay to help prevent plastic waste entering oceans and waterways ahead of Glasgow 2026.
The initiative, run through a partnership between Commonwealth Sport and the Royal Commonwealth Society, has set a target of stopping one million pieces of plastic from reaching water systems. Organisers say more than 625,000 pieces have already been collected through clean-up efforts across participating countries.
