Student runs Comrades for graduate campaign

University of Pretoria master’s student in Agricultural Plant Pathology, Qiniso Sithole, is preparing to run in the Comrades Marathon on Sunday to support the institution’s Degrees Delivered campaign.
The initiative is aimed at helping graduates clear historical student debt and access the degree certificates they have already earned.

Charity challenge raises R1 million fundraising

Hikers, runners and supporters have raised one million rand through this year's Cableway Charity Challenge on Table Mountain in Cape Town.
The annual event saw participants hike up the mountain multiple times while collecting donations and pledges.
Four organisations will each receive 250-thousand rand to support conservation, youth development, wildfire response and rescue operations.
Organisers say the challenge continues to unite communities in support of causes across the Western Cape.

Six South African artists exhibit London

Las Vegas Grand Prix secured until 2037

Formula One has extended the Las Vegas Grand Prix contract until 2037, keeping the race on the calendar for another 10 years.
The race, first held in 2023, takes place every November on the Las Vegas Strip in the United States and attracts large crowds.
Organisers say the event has brought in more than $3 billion for the local economy since it started.
The next Las Vegas Grand Prix will take place from 19 to 21 November 2026.
