The Halls Breathe Through It campaign has recognised We Care founder Palesa Letsoalo for providing winter support to vulnerable families in Alexandra.
For more than 12 years, Letsoalo has delivered blankets, hot meals and food parcels to elderly caregivers raising grandchildren, often funding transport and supplies herself.
Her organisation, We Care, runs donation drives and distributes winter essentials to households facing cold conditions and limited income.
Letsoalo received a winter hamper from Halls in recognition of her work, marking her first formal acknowledgement after years of community service.

South Africa is marking National Blood Donor Month as health organisations call for more people to donate blood amid ongoing shortages.
The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) collects about 3 500 units of blood a day to supply hospitals, but only around one in 140 people donates regularly, putting pressure on stocks.
Blood cannot be manufactured and must be donated, with each unit separated into components that can be used to treat patients in surgery, trauma care, childbirth and disease treatment.
Health services say blood has a shelf life of 42 days, requiring constant donations, and encourage eligible adults aged 16 to 75 to donate regularly to maintain supply.

6-South African artists will exhibit their work in London in November 2026 as part of an international group exhibition organised.
The exhibition will bring together artists from Africa, Europe, North America, Asia, Australia and the Middle East, with works displayed to collectors, curators and the public.
The South African artists include Andrea Chounyane, Kimberley Titus and Luyanda Mkhuthungu, working in painting and mixed media.
Organisers say the exhibition aims to provide international exposure and connect participating artists with global art markets.
