Local racer Megan Archer from Blairgowrie is gearing up for South Africa’s first-ever ladies-only Formula Monoposto race at Zwartkops Raceway on Women’s Day, August 9.
The event, supported by Motorsport South Africa, aims to celebrate and honour women both on and off the track.
With an expected 15 to 20 female entrants ranging from seasoned pros to newcomers, Archer is excited to see a diverse grid showcasing that there are no limits for women in motorsport.
She says the race will be less about competition and more about highlighting female talent and opening doors for more women in this male-dominated sport.
