South Africa’s Junior Proteas are set to showcase their talent at the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup, starting 16 January in Windhoek.
Captain Muhammad Bulbulia leads the squad, which will face Afghanistan, West Indies and Tanzania in Group D.
The team recently completed a Youth ODI series against India, sharpening skills and building confidence.
Head coach Malibongwe Maketa says the team has focused on training and match preparation to strengthen performance ahead of the tournament:

Joburg designer wins New Talent Designer of SA award

Jesmine Davids from Ridgeway, south of Johannesburg, has won the national New Talent Designer of South Africa award at the recently held Fashion Industry Awards South Africa.
This award recognises years of hands-on training, steady growth and a design career built from practical making skills developed at home and at school.
She began her journey by tailoring school uniforms in high school, work that grew into her first small business.
After matric, she completed a dressmaking internship and later graduated from the University of Johannesburg with a fashion qualification.
Davids says early production skills and consistent output earned her a Young Designer nomination at South African Fashion Week in 2019 and led to work opportunities.
