The Milk + Cookies Music Week continues at the Nasrec Johannesburg Expo Centre today, with the Wunna Run Club 5K, hosted by US rapper Gunna.
Starting at 9am, the run brings together runners, creatives and fans, followed by a community meet-up.
The week began on Wednesday with the Dot Connectors panel at ALX, where leaders in music, media and tech discussed career pathways and industry opportunities.
The main Milk + Cookies Festival takes place tomorrow at the Nasrec Expo Centre, featuring performances by Gunna, Majid Jordan and South Africa’s top talent.
The programme concludes next week Tuesday with a private writing camp for creatives, focused on song writing and production collaboration.

Air Europa launches Madrid–Joburg flights

Johannesburg will gain a new international link when Air Europa launches Madrid–Joburg flights in June.
The Spanish airline will operate the route three times a week.
The new service follows Spain’s aviation authority granting Air Europa traffic rights in 2025 and adds to growing airline activity in the city.
Over the past year, Qantas introduced a direct Perth route, Airlink opened a Johannesburg–Zanzibar service, and Cathay Pacific increased its Hong Kong flights.

Ultra-endurance swimmer and Guinness World Record holder, Howard Warrington, completed the 34km False Bay Crossing earlier this week.
This is to raise funds and awareness for the Cape of Good Hope SPCA’s ambitious sterilisation goal of 10-thousand.
SPCA spokesperson, Belinda Abraham, says last year alone, they cared for over 23-thousand unwanted and unloved animals:
