South Africa has won the Perth Sevens on Sunday, defeating Fiji 21-19 to claim their first title on Australian soil since 2017.
The Springboks rebounded from a fourth-place finish in Singapore last weekend to secure the win.
In the women’s final, New Zealand beat Australia 29-7 to claim their third title of the season.

Church feeds hungry community in Roodepoort

St Gabriel’s Anglican Church in Roodepoort has been running a weekly feeding scheme for more than eight years, serving meals to over 100 vulnerable residents every Saturday.
Volunteers prepare and serve nutritious meals to widows, orphans and families facing hardship.
The church also provides food parcels and works with local organisations to extend support.
Funded through donations, the initiative delivers regular food assistance to households in need within the community.

Mothers in need get baby love

Volunteers from The Robin Hood Foundation SA delivered baby essentials to 70 new mothers at Victoria Mxenge Hospital in Berea, Durban as part of their first Love the Babies project.
The team distributed clothes, diapers and other necessities, and also spent time connecting with mothers and their babies.
The organisation plans to continue distributing baby bundles throughout the year and is collecting pre-loved baby clothing and items to sustain the project.
