Steyn City to host SA’s first LIV Golf Tournament

Steyn City has been confirmed as the official venue for the 2026 LIV Golf Tournament, a major international sporting event that will be staged in South Africa for the first time.
The announcement was made by Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi, who revealed that the province had been nominated as the next host following the tournament’s most recent edition in the United Kingdom.
The Golf Tournament is scheduled to take place from the 20th of May next year and will feature 54 of the world’s top golfers.
The provincial government is introducing grassroots programmes as part of the tournament’s legacy plans, in order to build momentum and grow participation in the sport.
