South Africa ranks eighth in the world for searches by people looking to start a business.
The finding comes from a MoneySuperMarket analysis of Google search data across 249 countries and cities.
The United Kingdom ranked first, followed by Australia and Canada, while South Africa placed ahead of countries including the United States, Germany and Japan.
The analysis also found South Africa ranks ninth for searches about starting businesses abroad, showing interest in business opportunities both in the country and overseas.

JOMBA! Contemporary Dance Experience is heading to Johannesburg following its season in Durban.
The Centre for Creative Arts will present a four-night season at The Market Theatre, featuring contemporary dance from South Africa, Africa and Europe.
The festival is in its fourth year of partnership with The Market Theatre.
Assistant Curator, Thobile Maphanga says the Johannesburg programme will give audiences an opportunity to see local and international contemporary dance performances:

Comic Con Africa returns to the Johannesburg Expo Centre in Nasrec from 24 September, bringing together fans, gamers, artists and performers.
The seventh edition is expected to draw about 70-thousand visitors for four days of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay and collectables.
Cosplayers will compete in daily contests, with the top performers going on to the Cosplay Championships.
The overall winner will receive an expenses-paid trip to represent South Africa at a competition in the UK in 2027.
