The Hands On Foundation is expanding its community activities in Thembisa, introducing aerobics and boot camps alongside its existing fun walks.
The activities are aimed at getting more residents active while creating opportunities for people to socialise and support their physical and mental wellbeing.
The foundation says it has seen an encouraging response from the community and is also expanding into hiking, sporting events and competitive games.
Its activities are open to people of different ages, including children, young people, parents and older residents.

The City of Cape Town is allowing selected parks, verges and greenbelts to grow naturally this spring as part of its annual No Mow initiative.
Mowing will be paused in some areas until the end of October or November, giving indigenous wildflowers time to bloom and produce seeds.
The flowers provide food for bees, butterflies, birds and other pollinators, while also helping natural areas support local wildlife.
Residents can enjoy the blooms, with flowers generally at their best between 10am and 3pm.

Residents in Eldorado Park have joined a community clean-up to tackle illegal dumping and improve neglected public spaces.
Former councillor Peter Rafferty and young volunteers helped clear dirt and waste from a manhole in Extension 5 that had been causing blockages at The Hub.
The clean-up is part of a broader effort to reclaim public spaces and encourage residents to take greater pride in their community.
Rafferty also praised the young people who volunteered their time to help with the initiative.
