18th FNB Art Joburg fair highlights pan-african art

The FNB Art Joburg Fair wrapped up its third and final day at the Sandton Convention Centre yesterday, where hundreds gathered to celebrate African creativity.
The exhibition, which is in its 18th year, champions Pan-Africanism through contemporary African art, bringing together 14 African countries, showcasing over 100 artists.
The fair's carefully curated exhibitions highlight the diversity and richness of African expression, spanning painting, sculpture, photography and installation art.
Managing director, Mandla Sibeko, says the curation was designed to evoke emotion and to inspire every visitor.

A 29-year-old woman from Mamone village outside Jane Furse in Limpopo is on a mission to empower people who are living with disabilities.
Botšeetše Kgaphola, who has been using a wheelchair for six years due to paralysis, is one of the finalists of the Miss SA Disability 2025 pageant.
Kgaphola will be participating alongside other women who live with various forms of disabilities at the grand finale on the 1st of November.
