ULTRA South Africa is celebrating over a decade of shaping the electronic music scene with a diverse line-up that highlights female and LGBTQ+ talent. Artists like DJ Lady Lea, Ms Cosmo, DJ Zinhle, and Uncle Waffles have paved the way for women and queer artists in dance music. With a commitment to inclusivity, ULTRA South Africa is a cultural movement that celebrates South Africa’s influence on global dance music, uniting audiences through powerful performances and shared experiences.

President Cyril Ramaphosa launched the second phase of Operation Vulindlela in Pretoria. This phase aims to speed up inclusive economic growth, building on the work done in the first phase. Operation Vulindlela started in 2020 to fast-track important economic reforms. The first phase focused on five areas: energy, transport, communication, water, and visas. Government departments carried out 35 key reforms, with a special team from the Presidency and Treasury tracking progress and offering support.SOUND

Google has started a new film and TV project called "100 Zeros" with Range Media Partners. The goal is to find and support new shows and movies while promoting Google’s AI and tech tools. The project helped market the indie horror film Cuckoo and will release two AI-themed movies, Sweetwater and LUCID, later this year. Instead of using YouTube, Google plans to sell these projects to big studios and streaming services like Netflix. This move helps Google grow its tech influence through entertainment.
