Retiree’s Double Lottery Entry Turns Into Big Win in England
Teaser / Tailpiece story
A retired couple in Derbyshire, England, have won a major Postcode Lottery prize after what they describe as a simple online mistake.
Allan Taylor says he accidentally purchased two tickets instead of one, and that error led to a double payout after his postcode was selected in the UK Postcode Lottery draw. Each ticket won a share of the prize, giving the couple a combined windfall worth nearly 900,000 US dollars.
The couple, who had only recently retired, say the win has given them financial freedom and the chance to support family, travel and enjoy their next chapter.
