The initiative brought together the Gauteng Provincial Legislature, the Independent Electoral Commission, the Department of Home Affairs and the City of Ekurhuleni to provide information on voting, identity documents and government services.
The programme also gave residents the opportunity to access support and learn more about participating in the country's democracy ahead of the next local government elections.

A community farming project in Qwa Qwa is making it easier for differently abled people to grow their own food through specially designed accessible gardens.
The African Conservation Trust has built raised garden beds for the Nurturing Seeds for Differently Abled Community Development group.
The beds are designed for wheelchair and crutch users, making farming more accessible for the group's 38 members.
The project also includes training, mentorship and support to help participants grow vegetables for their families, donate to vulnerable residents or earn an income.

Kai Rackley, who overcame childhood cancer after being adopted from China, recently qualified as a first officer with United Airlines.
He welcomed children and their families through the Make A Wish Foundation, a charity that grants life changing wishes to children with critical illnesses to bring hope, strength and joy during treatment.
Rackley shared his journey to encourage them to believe their dreams are still possible despite the challenges they face.*
