The 2025 Mandela Day Walk & Run is set to take place at the DP World Wanderers Stadium in Illovo on the 19th of this month.
Mandela Day is an annual global celebration that takes place on 18 July to honour the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela.
This day is a call to action for individuals and organisations to take time to reflect on Mandela's values and principles and to make a positive impact in their own communities.
This year’s theme is both a challenge and a call for solidarity with the global community called to respond with action to tackle poverty, fight inequity and build a society grounded in dignity and justice.
Participants have the opportunity to select from three distances - 5km, 10km, and 21km and entry fees vary from R 100 to R 200 for the event.
