Medical student Azaria helps community through support of Unconventional Hearts Foundation

Medical student Azaria Narayan is on a mission to serve her community, and this has been made possible through the support from Unconventional Hearts Foundation.
The foundation, started by a chartered accountant, recently raised over 218-thousand-rand at its inaugural golf day at the Bryanston Country Club.
The funds will go towards supporting Azaria and other young South Africans in areas like education, entrepreneurship, healthcare, and food security.
Azaria, who's in her 4th year at Wits University, is determined to make a difference as a doctor.
The foundation's founders say they are just getting started and are committed to empowering more young people.The Home Affairs Department says it will extend operating hours at its offices from today to 19 December 2025, and again on the 5th to the 16th of January 2026.
The department says the operating hours will be extended by 2-hours, meaning that the offices will now close at six o’clock in the evening.
It also says the extended services will only be available at offices equipped to process Smart ID Cards and passports.
