The First Blind Football League Awards were held in Johannesburg, where they celebrated the incredible achievements of visually impaired football players and teams.
The league, was founded by Mlungisi Msibi, to promote inclusivity and provide opportunities for blind and visually impaired individuals to play football.
The awards honoured outstanding players, teams, and administrators who have made significant contributions to the sport.
Some of the notable winners include Isaac Asanda Bidla, who was named Administrator of the Year, and Buhle Bhidla, who was named Sportsman of the Year with Disability.
Founder Mlungisi Msibi says the whole point of the league is to change how people think about what blind individuals can do, showing they can achieve great things.

15-year-old South African footballer and published author Bokang Phiri has secured a fifty percent football and academic bursary from Plymouth College in the United Kingdom.
His family says the support from the community has already begun building momentum as they prepare for his move early next year.
Phiri has written three children’s books and hopes to continue inspiring young readers while pursuing his academic and football ambitions abroad.

The Blue Crane, South Africa’s national bird, has recovered after being found injured by community members in Overberg in the Western Cape.
Veterinarians and conservation teams worked together to nurse the bird back to full health.
Their dedication ensured the crane could return safely to its natural habitat.
It has now been released into the wild, and its return has been celebrated as a heartwarming reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together for wildlife.
