Caspar Greeff first studied actuarial science in the 1960s using slide rules but recently adapted to modern technology to complete his degree through UJ’s online programme.
With help from university lecturers and his daughter, he learned to use laptops and submit exams online.
Despite his age, Mr Greeff maintains an active lifestyle, regularly participating in park runs and visiting the gym.
University officials say his achievement highlights the importance of lifelong learning and making education accessible to all.
Mr Greeff hopes his story will inspire others to keep learning and pursuing their goals, no matter their age

Joburg Launches First Digital Heritage Register

Johannesburg has launched its first digital heritage register, documenting 90 historic sites across the city.
