600km Walk Supports Children With Disabilities

A 600-kilometre walk from Johannesburg to Durban is underway to raise funds and awareness for children living with disabilities.
Vusumuzi Mbambani and Molelekwa Mahoko started the MegaWalk on 1 September and are due to finish on 1 October.
The pair are using the challenge to support children with disabilities and promote greater inclusion in communities.
Mahoko who is one of the founders of the initiative has this to say:

100 Tshwane Learners Receive School Shoes

One hundred learners at Siqobile Primary School in Tshwane have received new school shoes from an Engen service station.
The 100 pairs were handed over on 28 August through Engen’s Dealer Community Partnership Programme, following a link between the service station and the Mukalanga Foundation.
The partnership has supported a local school and community soccer programme since 2024.

Fifty South African women entrepreneurs and government leaders have completed a three-day programme focused on using artificial intelligence and other digital tools in their work.
Huawei South Africa’s Women in Tech programme provided practical training in AI, cloud computing and 5G-Advanced, among other technologies.
Participants explored ways to use AI to improve productivity, analyse data and handle routine business tasks.
The programme aims to help more women build digital skills and take part in the growing digital economy.
