Pickleball Tournament Raises Funds For Community Cleaners
Story 1
Community Cleaners supporters swapped litter bags for pickleball paddles at a fundraiser in Fairland.
The round robin tournament gave volunteers and supporters a chance to connect outside the organisation’s regular neighbourhood clean ups.
Entry fees went towards Community Cleaners, while local businesses also contributed prizes and items for participants.
Organiser Alison Blair hopes the fundraiser will become an annual event, with other activities also planned to give more people a chance to support the organisation.
