Johannesburg Zoo to host star-studded Mother’s Day music celebration

The City of Johannesburg will transform the Johannesburg Zoo into a vibrant celebration space, hosting 10 top artists for a one-of-a-kind Mothers day live music experience.

This year's programme offers something for everyone, blending genres and generations in true Johannesburg style.

Audiences can look forward to performances by Ami Faku, The Soil, Mathew Mole, Giselle Niemand and the Phoenix Orchestra among many others.

An Adopt-an-Animal stand will also be available, giving visitors a meaningful Mother's Day gift option, complete with certificates, animal information and Zoo entry vouchers.

Durban has officially launched the Museum of Illusions at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping, bringing more than 60 interactive exhibitions to KwaZulu-Natal.

The Museum is known for combining science, art and entertainment through hands-on, perception-based installations designed to challenge how visitors interpret reality.

The attraction positions itself as a flexible events space, catering for birthdays, educational trips and group experiences.

The South African Football Association led by Commercial and Marketing Manager Errol Madlala, has officially launched the #BafanaFriday campaign
to rally support for the men’s national football team, ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The campaign encourages fans in South Africa and abroad to wear green and gold every Friday in support of Bafana Bafana on their road to the World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The initiative is a continuation of the highly successful "Football Fridays" and "Fly the Flag Fridays" movement, which began during the 2010 FIFA World Cup build-up to promote national pride and the hosting of the tournament.

The campaign aims to encourage unity, pride and support for the national team.
