Sandton Fun Factory programme earns international financial literacy award

The Sandton Fun Factory is celebrating a major milestone after its financial literacy programme received international recognition.

The programme, which trains teachers at early childhood development centres to introduce basic financial concepts to children aged three to six, has been awarded the Excellence in Financial Literacy Education Award by the Institute for Financial Literacy.

The initiative focuses on teaching young learners the fundamentals of earning, saving, budgeting and banking, laying a strong foundation for financial awareness from an early age.

The institution has begun rolling out the programme to 600 Early Childhood development centres across the country.

SA students to compete at Regeneron International Science and Engineering fair

Three learners are set to represent South Africa at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in the United States.

The event brings together some of the brightest young minds from over 80 countries, with more than 1,800 participants.

The fair which is regarded as the world’s largest pre-college science competition, will take place in Phoenix from the 9th of May.
