Thousands of Johannesburg residents will join the Jozi My Jozi Walk the Talk on 26 July . This year’s event will focus on helping people experiencing homelessness in the city. Participants are encouraged to donate items such as meals, clothing, hygiene support, and temporary shelter assistance during the walk. Funds raised will go to organisations that provide food, basic services, and rehabilitation support.

Cape Town is set to become the centre of world hockey from the 11 to the 20th June. South Africa will be hosting the FIH Hockey Men’s Nations Cup. The tournament will feature top international teams including New Zealand, France, Korea, Japan, Wales, Malaysia, Scotland, Ireland, and hosts South Africa, competing for a place in the FIH Hockey Pro League.
South Africa also returns as defending pride, having won the inaugural edition in 2022 in Potchefstroom.

Soweto’s Finest is hosting the Battle of the Schools, a competition that showcases school-based dance talent from across South Africa. The event gives young performers a platform to display their skills and creativity. Participants are celebrating local culture, identity, and artistic expression through dance. The initiative, led by the nationally recognised group Soweto’s Finest, also aims to develop emerging talent. Group manager and DJ Nkosi King says the project is about giving young dancers real opportunities to perform and grow.
