Cape Town is set to become the centre of world hockey from the 11 to the 20th June. South Africa will be hosting the FIH Hockey Men’s Nations Cup. The tournament will feature top international teams including New Zealand, France, Korea, Japan, Wales, Malaysia, Scotland, Ireland, and hosts South Africa, competing for a place in the FIH Hockey Pro League.
South Africa also returns as defending pride, having won the inaugural edition in 2022 in Potchefstroom.

Kito, a young pangolin rescued from wildlife trafficking in the Free State, is recovering after being found in poor condition. He was handed over to the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital following a successful law enforcement that led to the arrest of four suspects. When he arrived, Kito was dehydrated, underweight, and covered in wounds. A non profit organisation in Boksburg in Ekurhuleni has stepped in to assist hundreds of tertiary students who were struggling with outstanding study debts.The We Solve For X Foundation says it has paid more than two million rand to help students settle registration fees and continue their studies, with some also able to access their qualifications after clearing what they owed.Founder Tsietsi Ngobese says it is a cause close to his heart since he was once financially excluded.
