The BBC gathered professionals, policy makers and key industry players in Kempton Park east of Johannesburg yesterday, for two days of engagements on access to opportunities for the previously marginalised.
The event which takes place under the country's G20 presidency, serves as a platform to discuss developments in the economy, assess current policies and explore ways to improve access to opportunities for black-owned enterprises.

SA Literary Awards submission date extended

The South African Literary Awards have extended its submission date, encouraging work in indigenous languages to be submitted.
Authors have been given until the 9th of June to submit their works in order to be recognized for this year’s edition of the awards.
Founded by the wRite associates, in partnership with the then national Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, Sala aims is to pay tribute to South African writers who have distinguished themselves as groundbreaking producers and creators of literature.
This year marks 20 years of Sala, marking a coming of age for the prestigious Awards scheme.
