Donated Surfboards Reach Island Youth

Unused surfboards from a Cape Town surf programme have given young surfers on the African island, São Tomé and Príncipe, access to proper surfing equipment.
The boards were collected, repaired and shipped with the help of community organisations, volunteers and sponsors before being handed over to young surfers.
A total of 67 surfboards found new homes, turning unused equipment into new opportunities for children and young people.
The project also strengthened connections between communities across Africa.
