65-Johannesburg small and medium-sized enterprises graduated from the City’s Export Development and Capacitation Programme, gaining the skills and licences needed to enter international markets.
Run in partnership with the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the initiative has now trained nearly 150 local entrepreneurs in export readiness.
Graduates, Bokgoni Nonyane secured an official export license and authored a youth entrepreneurship guide, and Lebogang Madumo of Timeless Décor Services won a manufacturing tender.
Through training, mentorship, and collaboration, the City is turning local artisans into export-ready businesses, strengthening Joburg’s presence in the global economy.
