SAPRA urges motorists to monitor future price movements

The South African Petroleum Retailers Association is advising motorists to plan their trips, maintain their vehicles for better fuel efficiency and monitor future price movements.
This as fuel price reductions are in effect, with petrol down 66cents per litre and diesel R1.50-per litre cheaper.
Illuminating paraffin and LPG have also been reduced.

65 Joburg SMMEs graduate from City’s Export Development and Capacitation Programme

65-Johannesburg small and medium-sized enterprises graduated from the City’s Export Development and Capacitation Programme, gaining the skills and licences needed to enter international markets.
Run in partnership with the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the initiative has now trained nearly 150 local entrepreneurs in export readiness.
Graduates, Bokgoni Nonyane secured an official export license and authored a youth entrepreneurship guide, Bukisa Brands expanded into global markets, and Lebogang Madumo of Timeless Décor Services won a manufacturing tender.
Through training, mentorship, and collaboration, the City is turning local artisans into export-ready businesses, strengthening Joburg’s presence in the global economy.

1st Australian Open Grand Slam tournament starts 18 January

The Australian Open will see an increase of 16-percent in prize money this year.
The singles champions will take home 46.5-million-rand each out of the total of 1.227-billion-rand, while the increase also include the qualifying rounds.
Tennis Australia’s CEO, Craig Tiley, says this shows the tournament’s commitment to support the game at every level.
The year’s first Grand Slam tournament starts in Melbourne on 18 January.
