The Bryanston Country Club recently buzzed with excitement for the inaugural golf day for the Unconventional Hearts Foundation which raised more than R218-000.
The Foundation, started by a chartered accountant, aims to support youth up to age 25 across four focus areas — education, entrepreneurship, healthcare, food security and shelter. Their first beneficiary is Azaria Narayan, a fourth-year Wits medical student determined to serve her community as a dedicated future doctor.Organisers say this is just the beginning of a long-term commitment to empowering young South Africans.

Agriculture minister John Steenhuisen has welcomed the latest Statistics SA data that shows the country’s agriculture has grown an additional 1.1-percent in gross value in the third quarter of 2025.This follows a 2.5-percent growth in the second quarter.The department’s spokesperson, Joylene van Wyk, says notably South African exports rose by 0.7-percent, this led by an increase in trade of vegetable products and mineral products.
