The project aims to gather data on emissions from over 100-thousand vehicles to inform policies that improve air quality.

The study will use roadside remote sensing technology to measure tailpipe emissions and support evidence-based policies like clean air zones and stricter emission standards.

Gauteng Parents & Guardians Encouraged To Apply For 2026 Academic Year for grades 1-and-8 Before 29 August Deadline

Parents and guardians who have not yet applied for the 2026 academic year for grades 1-and-8 are encouraged to do so by visiting the Gauteng Education Department's website before applications close on the 29th of August.
The provincial education department has announced that over 600-thousand successful applications have been recorded during the 2026 Online Admissions application period for Grades-1 and-8.
The milestone was reached on Tuesday - just under two weeks since the system opened for applications on the 29th of July.
