Gauteng launches phase 2 of Nasi Ispani recruitment drive

The Gauteng Provincial Government will launch the second phase of the Nasi Ispani programme today creating 45 000 jobs and training opportunities for youth across the province.

The initiative will specifically target youth who are not in employment, education or training.
The training opportunities will include internships, work-integrated learning and artisanal development in mining communities.
Launched in June 2023, Nasi Ispani has generated substantial employment through its 13 special programmes.

Two teams from the Tshwane University of Technology excelled at the prestigious Cars4Mars African Rover Challenge, securing first and fourth place out of 40 competing teams.

The competition aims to inspire young Africans to explore careers in robotics, space technology and artificial intelligence.

This year’s event drew competitors from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana.
The Grand Finals will be held in Johannesburg on the 20th of September.
