Telkom Foundation clears student debt to unlock graduations

The Telkom Foundation has cleared the historic debt of 97 tertiary students, enabling them to graduate after unpaid fees had delayed their qualifications.
The intervention spans 10 institutions, including the Tshwane University of Technology, and forms part of a R6.4 million investment aimed at supporting access to and completion of higher education.
The foundation is also funding 21 first year bursary students and continues to prioritise skills development, particularly for young women in ICT fields.

Fairland Run Walk Crawl fundraiser unites community for veterans’ homes

Residents gathered in Cottesloe for the Run Walk Crawl fundraiser in support of MOTH Cottesloe Homes, with participants of all ages taking part in a 2.4 kilometre community challenge.
The event, which started and ended at MESCA Cottages in Fairland, encouraged people to run, walk or crawl in support of veterans while promoting fitness and community connection.
Organisers say the initiative is inspired by a historical military fitness test and is aimed at honouring fallen soldiers while supporting those who served.
