The Western Cape province remains on track to reach the target of generating 5 700MW of energy by 2035. This was reflected in the Western Cape Government’s Energy Dashboard, which provided an update of the progress of various public-private sector initiatives in the province.The province has seen around 1 000MW of non-Eskom generation coming into it's power system in the last year.One of the largest independent power producers has set up its headquarters in Cape Town, offering renewable energy solutions across the province. The Vision of Joy NGO partnered with the Balwin Foundation to host an art festival for orphaned and vulnerable children at Waterstone College. The event showcased the creativity of young talents from children’s homes across Johannesburg south. Children from the Resthaven Ministries, Nkosi’s Haven, Abraham Kriel Bambanani, and the Kids Haven took part in the festival.The festival gave the children a platform to express themselves through various forms of art, showcasing their talent and creativity.It featured a range of artistic displays, including 3D visual art, speeches, poetry, and a dance performance.

Beyoncé kicked off her London residency last night with a spectacular show at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, telling fans she feels "blessed" to be doing what she loves.The superstar performed for nearly three hours, delivering a high-energy show split into seven acts. The performance featured 40 songs, with many coming from her Grammy-winning 2024 album Cowboy Carter.The concert had a strong country theme, with cowboy hats, tassels, horseshoes, and even a gold mechanical bull. Beyoncé wowed the crowd with multiple costume changes, each more dazzling than the last. Every part of the show ran smoothly, from the transitions between songs to the detailed visuals and staging. Fans praised the performance as one of her best.
