The Olivedale Tennis Club in Randburg is giving children the chance to discover tennis through a free weekly youth programme.
Every Friday, children aged 8 to 16 can learn the game in a safe environment with rackets, balls and courts provided at no cost.
The initiative aims to make tennis more accessible and encourage more young people to take up the sport.
Club member Emlyn Stone says the programme gives children their first opportunity to experience the game.

New Opportunities for Young Farmers

Seventeen aspiring young farmers, including 10 young Black women, have joined a new training programme in Meyerton, Gauteng, to build careers in agriculture.
They will receive a year of hands-on training in regenerative farming, food production and agribusiness through the Living Soils Community Learning Farm.
The programme also donates part of its harvest to surrounding communities, helping improve local food security.
The initiative is supported by Woolworths in partnership with HarvestFresh.
