Young Innovators Tackle Gauteng Challenges

Fifty young innovators will compete in the YTE G13 Hackathon Finale in Johannesburg on 7 and 8 July.
Ten teams from across Gauteng will develop technology solutions to challenges including crime, healthcare, education, employment, energy and water security.
The competition, hosted by the Gauteng Department of e-Government and Microsoft, aims to help young people apply their technology skills to real community problems.
The winning team will be crowned at the closing ceremony on 9 July.

Hundreds of Cape Town residents will receive free healthcare this Mandela Day through a partnership between the Falling Forward Foundation and The Impilo Project.
The organisations aim to provide medical consultations, TB and HIV testing, women's health services, dental care and mental health support to 670 people at Marconi Beam Primary School in Joe Slovo on the 18th of July.
The initiative brings together healthcare professionals, volunteers and community organisations to improve access to essential healthcare and connect patients with ongoing support.
