Women's team sets sights on World Record relay run
Story 1
A team of female runners from the non-profit Dynamic Women for Children will attempt a 2,160km relay run from Musina in Limpopo to Cape Agulhas in Western Cape, in 9-days to set a world record.
The Cape2Care 2026 run starts next month and forms part of the organisation’s fundraising work for under-privileged children across South Africa.
Funds raised will support education, safety and long-term care for children assisted by the organisation.
Cape Town runner Danielle Lubbe is among the participants and has already raised R7,000 toward her R50,000 target.
She says running carried her through some of her most challenging times, and now she gets to use her experience to help children in need, giving back to others what running gave to her.
