Volunteers from The Robin Hood Foundation visited Victoria Mxenge Hospital in Durban, giving 70 new mothers bundles of baby essentials through their Love the Babies project.
The gift bags included knitted items, blankets and other essentials, bringing comfort and practical support to mothers during the first weeks of their babies’ lives. Volunteers also spent time talking with the moms, including one who had been living in the hospital with her premature baby since November.
The foundation plans to continue supporting new mothers across the country and is seeking donations of pre-loved baby clothes and items to keep the project going.
