Officials say a partnership between Heineken Beverages and Soufflet Malt, will produce 100,000 tonnes of malt annually and source barley from local farmers, supporting South Africa’s brewing and agricultural sectors
The facility is part of a long-term investment plan and is expected to be fully operational by 2027.
Industry experts also highlight that the plant will use advanced technology to reduce emissions, aligning with sustainability goals.
