Zero Carbon Charge builds solar-powered EV stations

South African company Zero Carbon Charge has reached a major milestone in the country's electric mobility transition, through the construction of two off-grid, solar-powered electric vehicle charging stations along the N3 corridor between Johannesburg and Durban.
The stations will be the first fully off-grid, solar-powered chargers on the N3, forming part of the company’s national rollout of 120 off-grid EV charging stations across South Africa.
Once operational, the CHARGE N3 Roadside and CHARGE N3 Tugela stations will anchor a Johannesburg-to-Durban renewable-energy charging route, bringing South Africa closer to a cleaner transport future.

Northern Cape hosts annual Film Festival

The annual film festival was held in the Northern Cape as part of the province’s Film Week in the month of November.
The festival serves as a platform to showcase local talent and connect aspiring filmmakers with investors such as the National Film and Video Foundation, as well as industry experts, in an attempt to grow local filmmakers.
The province has seen a steady rise in feature films and documentaries in recent years.
According to festival founder Motheo Seleke, this year’s fifth edition debuted a 72-hour challenge that required filmmakers to produce a complete film — from idea to final cut, within 3 days.
