Merchant Development Programme To Be Launched By The Gauteng Roads and Transport MEC

The Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Kedibone Diale-Tlabela, will launch the Merchant Development Programme, at the Chamdor Automotive Hub in Krugersdorp.
The initiative championed by the trading entity of the Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport, g-FleeT Management, in partnership with WesBank and the Automotive Industry Development Centre aims to address barriers to entry into the automotive sector by empowering small, medium, and micro enterprises, to become sustainable suppliers of fleet maintenance services.
The programme targets merchants in townships, informal settlements, and hostel areas with onboarding, training and accreditation and integrates them into the government supply chain.

Over 600-thousand Online School Applications For Grades 1 and 8 In Gauteng

Over 600-thousand online school applications for grades one and eight have been recorded in Gauteng.
The provincial education department opened the online system for parents and guardians to apply for placements at their preferred school less than two weeks ago.
Department spokesperson Steve Mabona says parents still have until the end of the month to complete the five-step application process.
Parents are advised to continue applying by logging into www.gdeadmissions.gov.za and making sure that they provide the necessary information.
