Afrika Tukkun to host Valuable 500 African Summit

Afrika Tukkun is hosting the first-ever Valuable 500 Africa Summit in Fourways next week Tuesday.
The summit will bring together global business leaders, policymakers and disability rights advocates, with the aim of ending the persistent exclusion of persons with disabilities from education, employment and leadership.
Hosted by Afrika Tikkun in partnership with the Valuable-500 and the Gauteng Government, the event will push corporate and government leaders to commit to concrete action under three central themes: leadership, reporting and representation.

15 outstanding teachers were recognized across various categories, for their dedication and impact in the classroom.
Charissa Shay-Sithole from Apex High School, received the Excellence in Teaching Mathematics award, while the National Best Teacher award went to Wedaad Esau from Bridgeville Primary School.

Comrades Marathon raises R8 million

The Comrades Marathon has raised R8 million, bringing vital support to its six official charities.
Beneficiaries include the Childhood Cancer Foundation, Childline KwaZulu-Natal, the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust, Rise Against Hunger, Community Chest, and the SANParks Honorary Rangers.
The funds will go towards critical services such as child protection, cancer support, HIV care, hunger relief, and wildlife conservation.
Organisers have thanked runners, supporters, and donors for their generosity, which led to the record-breaking total.
