The Divas Repartee, launched by actress and women’s advocate Nambitha Mpumlwana, held its first luncheon at Thyme on Nicol in Hurlingham,Johannesburg, kicking off a national tour giving women a platform to speak, connect, and inspire change.
Actress and activist Florence Masebe shared her story of resilience, including surviving a shooting 26 years ago, showing how challenges can be transformed into strength and inspiration.
Mpumlwana said the initiative invites women to reclaim their voices, share their experiences, and build a community that fosters creativity, connection, and empowerment.

The Sandton SPCA is facing a water crisis after its borehole pump broke, leaving the shelter dependent on an unreliable water supply
Staff say the shortage is making it difficult to provide clean water for drinking, cleaning, and keeping the animals safe and comfortable.
Residents are being asked to donate bottled or bulk water at the Sandton SPCA on 9th Street in Marlboro Gardens.
The shelter says every drop counts, and they’re asking for help to care for animals who cannot speak for themselves.

Stargazers can look forward to the largest supermoon of the year lighting up the sky tonight.
It follows last month’s Harvest Moon and is the second of three consecutive supermoons in 2025.
A supermoon occurs when the Moon is at its closest point to Earth, appearing brighter and slightly larger than usual.
Although peak brightness will occur after sunrise, the Moon will still appear spectacular overnight.
Known as the Beaver Moon, it marks the time animals prepare for winter and promises a dazzling sight for skywatchers across the world.
