New App Helps Shoppers Find Cheaper Groceries
Story 2
A new price comparison app called Grocify is helping South Africans find the cheapest groceries in their area.
The free app, now available on the Google Play Store, compares prices at nearby stores to help shoppers make more affordable choices.
The platform uses geolocation to locate the closest retailers and even factors in petrol costs to show whether travelling for a deal is worth it.
The idea was developed by creator Ethan Stander after noticing how shoppers often compare prices across several stores.
Ethan says the app also includes a comparison of the cost of travelling to different stores.
