Arsenal Socks Help Heal Rescue Donkeys and Horses in Norfolk
Teaser / Tailpiece story
Donkeys and horses at the Redwings Horse Hospital in Norfolk are receiving an unusual form of care after being fitted with donated football socks from Arsenal FC.
The socks are being used to protect sensitive legs, secure veterinary bandages, prevent fly irritation and reduce rubbing from headcollars while animals recover from treatment.
Staff say the donation is helping improve animal care in practical ways, especially during rehabilitation. The initiative also helps the football club reduce waste by repurposing used kit for animal welfare.
