The initiative aims to improve access to quality education, strengthen digital skills and create greater opportunities for learners with disabilities.

Donations for Hawks Officer Top Half a Million Rand

A crowdfunding campaign launched to replace a stolen coffee machine belonging to Hawks investigator Karl Sander has raised more than R500 000 in just a few days.
The campaign was started after Sander's testimony at the Madlanga Commission, where he revealed that his personal coffee machine had been stolen from his office and that he was later subjected to a polygraph test over its disappearance.
What began with a R5 000 target quickly gained national support, with thousands of South Africans contributing as a show of appreciation for his years of service.

Employers across Africa are being invited to apply for the third intake of the Global Goals 2030 Africa Scholarship, which aims to expand access to higher education and future skills development.
The programme, led by the Graduate Institute of Financial Sciences and the Umlambo Foundation, offers qualifications ranging from certificates and diplomas to master’s and doctoral degrees, with funding support of up to 70 percent.
Organisers say the initiative is designed to align education with future job markets while addressing skills shortages across the continent. Applications close on 30 June 2026.
