Kids Haven in Benoni has received an R800 000 resource investment from the National Transmission Company South Africa, a subsidiary of Eskom, to strengthen its services for vulnerable children and young people.
The donation includes educational equipment, water infrastructure, residential care resources and vocational training facilities, with a new academy set to equip about 40 young people each year with practical and entrepreneurial skills.
The investment will also help expand community development programmes across Ekurhuleni

South Africa's biggest wind project has started generating electricity in Mpumalanga, with the first 25 turbines now producing enough renewable energy to supply about 155 megawatts.
President Cyril Ramaphosa recently officiated the start of commercial operations at the facility, which is expected to create new jobs and support skills development in the renewable energy sector.
Seriti Green CEO Peter Venn says the project will eventually comprise 127 wind turbines generating 900 megawatts of electricity.

WILDOCEANS is celebrating nine years of protecting South Africa's coastal and marine environments while supporting communities through conservation and education.
The organisation has expanded projects that protect marine life, create livelihoods and equip young people with the skills to become future ocean conservation leaders.
Its work also includes ocean literacy programmes that promote sustainable use of marine resources.
